Job description

Title: UX Designer - Remote
Location: Remote
Type: 2-month Contract
Pay: $45-52/hr

Job Description: We are looking for a UX Designer to design software and platforms for the Financial Reporting Council's CODEx Viewer Project. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UX design efforts for the FRC CODEX Viewer project, ensuring the development of a compliant, user-friendly viewer that meets FRC standards.
  • Navigate the complex accessibility and functional requirements of the project.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to maintain momentum and ensure the timely delivery of the project by the end of November 2024.
  • In collaboration with a third party vendor conduct beta testing and prepare for the project launch in December 2024.
Required Skills:
  • Expertise in UX design with a strong background in accessibility and compliance standards.
  • Experience leading UX projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Proficiency in design tools and methodologies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage stakeholders and guide the project to success.
  • Strong experience designing against accessibility requirements.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with XBRL or similar financial reporting systems.
  • Familiarity with designing for international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with designing for UK.gov
