About the Role
The Manager, Data Transformation supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Data Transformation team. This position is pivotal in executing actions that ensure data quality, minimize manual effort, and enhance the agility and scalability of data transformation processes.

Oversees workloads across various teams in the department to meet objectives and align with organizational targets while maintaining team engagement. Leads and manages projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives, effectively coordinating activities and monitoring progress.

Identifies opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks, preparing the Data Transformation team for future growth. Manages workflows and documents requirements to ensure successful project execution and enhanced efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key Data Transformation initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with evolving operational needs.
  • Equip teams with the necessary tools, resources, and support to meet objectives and achieve performance targets.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of ETL processes, data pipelines, and automation tools such as SQL, Python, Airflow.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handoffs and alignment on operational priorities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Data Transformation, ensuring best practices in data governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Prioritize high-impact projects, addressing inefficiencies and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Spearhead the integration of cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure and modern data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift.
  • Lead new initiatives from concept to execution, crafting detailed project plans, setting key milestones, and defining success metrics for impactful results.
  • Utilize Agile or Scrum methodologies to ensure adaptive, timely delivery of new projects, adjusting to shifting priorities as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement by developing key standards such as Definition of Done, Test Plans, and Rollback Plans.
  • Establish robust data quality monitoring frameworks and ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations.
  • Implement effective triage and escalation processes to enhance responsiveness and resolution times.
  • Foster a data-driven culture, driving adoption of analytics and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry best practices in data collection, transformation, and workflow optimization.
  • Actively manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment between project goals and broader business objectives.
  • Cultivate Numeris business knowledge and foster strong internal networks across the organization.

  • Qualifications Required
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Graduate Degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in people management within data transformation, data quality, or data engineering.
  • Proven experience leading a Data Transformation or Data Quality team, with hands-on involvement in data management and transformation.
  • Expertise in Project and Change Management within a product-focused environment, delivering results under fast-paced timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrixed environment, working effectively across diverse teams and functions.
