As a senior corporate attorney in our Customer Operations Practice Group, you’ll provide counsel to all areas of the business on compliance matters that impact the company’s customers and create exposure for the organization. You’ll interact with and advise business clients at all company levels to resolve issues in a manner that’s favorable for Progressive’s customers and mitigates exposure to the company. Areas of focus include complaint handling, providing legal guidance on state reporting and customer filing matters, assisting with customer remediation efforts, advising the business on a wide variety of customer inquiries, and supporting our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) organization.

Must-have Qualifications



  • Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and a minimum of five years of post-degree legal practice experience.

    • Active license to practice law in at least one state; Active or Corporate license in state where working (or eligible to be).

    Preferred Skills

    • Insurance industry knowledge and experience, including knowledge of state insurance and other relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
    • Prior management experience.
    • Demonstrated strong collaboration, influencing, and relationship-building skills with the ability to problem solve.
    • Strong legal research and analysis skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities while meeting internal and external deadlines.

    Compensation 

    • Base: $109,300 - $156,100/year
    • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
    • Participation in our restricted stock units plan
