We are currently seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager (MM) who is excited to be part of a growing, fast-paced, dynamic team. The posterior segment portfolio is quite diverse and includes some exciting new products on the horizon. Marketing Managers are the product and market experts for their assigned product portfolios and are responsible for helping to drive sales and to increase the profitability of their assigned products. In addition, Marketing Managers are responsible for portfolio-related marketing materials, competitive analysis, and representing the Voice of the Customer. They are to communicate market opportunities and gaps internally to Product Management and Leadership. The key to the success of the MM is building successful relationships with the executive team, the sales force, product management, and with market influencers. Strong communication skills and high technical acumen are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans to drive product line success
- Perform ongoing market, pricing, and competitive analyses and recommend enhancements as needed
- Create and execute commercialization plans
- Foster KOL relationships and a deep understanding of customer needs and business models to be able to infuse voice of the customer into company plans
- Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively soliciting feedback
- Effectively commercialize new products and product updates
- Create strong positioning statements and selling messages
- Produce effective sales aids and clinical marketing collateral to support selling efforts
- Support sales and customer training efforts with product content and deliver training as needed
- Develop project briefs (including messaging) for key projects related to assigned product portfolio
- Provide information for management by preparing special analyses and reports as requested
- Support product line demonstrations and sales efforts at key trade shows
- Maintain market knowledge by attending trade shows, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and completing relevant professional courses
- This job requires 30% overnight travel, including weekends
Preferred qualities and experiences
- BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree is preferred
- 5+ years of medical industry, eye care market experience preferred
- Retina and glaucoma product experience preferred
- Previous product marketing and launch experience in complex products and/or product families is required
- High-level analytical skills and an ability to think strategically to solve complex business problems
- Ability to engage in in-depth clinical conversations as it relates to product
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and update priorities as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with Executives, Sales Personnel, and customers
- Strong clinical writing skills
Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $110,000 to $140,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
Bonus eligible:
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 5% annual bonus.
