The Opportunity

Join a global finance team, based predominantly in Australia. The international exposure will allow you to be involved in large-scale projects and work with a diverse team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance Operations you will have direct responsibility for overseeing all financial transactions of the organisation, providing admin and clerical support to the finance team and stakeholders and thus ensuring compliance with financial regulations and improving the processes for preparing timely and quality financial reporting. 

Key focus areas of responsibility will include:

Functional responsibilities:

  • Processing end to end accounts payable
  • Client invoicing (monthly and ad-hoc)
  • Providing assistance with commercial contact management to the sales and commercial teams
  • Maintaining historical records
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Vendor Onboarding and Reporting
  • Debtor Collections
  • Auditing with preparing analyses of accounts and producing related monthly reports
  • Preparation of day to day operating statutory tax filings such as BAS to the ATO and payroll taxes to State Revenue Offices
  • Other adhoc tasks as required

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is preferred

Knowledge & Experience:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years experience across payables, receivables, collections and complex reconciliations.
  • Exposure to statutory tax reporting such as BAS submissions will be well  regarded
  • Advanced excel skills and exposure to NetSuite 
  • Superior problem solving ability and ability to negotiate successful outcomes in potentially challenging circumstances

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You have strong communications skills
  • Knowledge of day to accounting and bookkeeping processes for transactions
