Financial Analysis and Management Reporting:
- Help the Finance team strengthen the current accounting and reporting framework; help translate current framework and process to an accounting system
- Develop and implement a system of regular and timely internal management reports;
- outline processes that would enable fast preparation of such reports
- Coach the team on Financial Analysis to aid making better decisions using detailed, data-driven analysis
- Assist with investigating monthly variances between actual/budgeted/ forecasted results .
- Analyze financial and statistical information: track key indicators and timelines; prepare and update the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
- Work with other teams in monitoring of project finances.
Controllership:
- Oversee internal controls: oversee the development, implementation, monitoring of internal control processes of the organization and partners to ensure internal controls are in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Update the Accounting Policies, process/desk instructions and ensure compliance with established internal controls
- Review, analyze and monitors Companys financial status and performance to identify and minimize potential risks
- Prepare / review statutory financial statements and tax related schedules (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding tax) monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for CFOs approval Coordinate with third party for tax preparation, auditing and other financial needs as necessary
- Oversee budget management: establish and implement budget control and monitoring mechanisms; track expenses vs budget, analyze variances, advise management about possible over/under expenditure and recommend corrective actions
- OPEX Controlling: Support and coordinate the process of OPEX budgeting, consolidation and reporting; Proactively work on OPEX savings plans, their implementation, tracking and reporting
Operations Management:
- Directly manage staff accountant to ensure proper execution of the following accounting processes: Monthly close cycle, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, collections and revenue recognition, Other accounting functions as required
- Maintain oversight of processes, preventing delays and inaccuracies on payments to suppliers, contractors and for employee expenses
- Ensures the Service Level Agreements are on target; creates period reports on
metrics/KPIs/Dashboards to determine performance against the SLAs of the team. - Performs staffing projection complementing work volume growth and forecast and makes necessary proposals to the business unit.
- Plans, assigns and directs work to the employees in cooperation with the supervisor and department lead to manage workload and projects.
- Identifies and documents changes in the roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and workload of employees to properly determine volume headcount ratio, work scope.
Process Improvement:
- Develop process improvement procedures and metrics to improve operational efficiency
- Build, update and maintain documentation and workflows of process improvements and process performance
- Current state mapping of existing processes and address the gaps identified by proposing new process improvements
- Collect and document business requirements for project and operational improvement
- Facilitate process workflow modeling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities, and clearly defined end-to-end use cases Work with cross-functional departments for the creation of new processes, documenting of existing processes, and see opportunities for improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and systems, with a view towards scalable growth to meet anticipated demands
General Business/Technical Advisory:
- Work closely with staff provide best practice advice for all Finance matters
- Establish principles and process on Business Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting
- Participates in goal-setting review to ensure challenging goals for all functional units in the
business
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management, Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of working and management experience in Finance Business Partnering and in Finance Planning & Analysis is required for this position
- CPA certification is a must
- Experience with technology accounting systems is a big plus
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Must have pro level Microsoft Excel skills, with the knowledge and familiarity of using advanced functions such as (INDEX MATCH and VLOOKUP; IF combined with AND/OR; OFFSET combined with SUM/AVERAGE; CHOOSE; XNPV and XIRR; PMT and IPMT; Goal Seek and other functions of this level of difficulty)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions; creative problem solving skills
- Able to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced and ever changing work environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members from different departments
