The purpose of this role is to prototype and implement algorithms on BioIntelliSense existing and future products, in order to extract meaningful measurements and other information. Having high quality data at this stage is essential for the enablement of downstream clinical intelligence. Being able to successfully deliver on product requirements in a timely manner is necessary to the company’s success.
What you will be doing
Prototype algorithms:Research novel methods for vital sign signal extraction using high frequency sensor dataWork with product team to define algorithm requirements and test metricsIterate rapidly to develop algorithm prototypes and communicate performance tradeoffs
Productize algorithms:Port algorithms to C/C++ and optimize computations to meet processor and power constraintsDevelop test protcols for data collection team, and perform QA to ensure the product meets the requirements
Contribute to team infrastructure and support data collection: Ideate new tools to automate algorithm benchmarking and testing to improve team efficiencyDevelop and maintain internal signal evaluation tools to help algorithm, firmware, and hardware teams optimize existing and future productsAssist in designing and conducting studies to evaluate new hardware/firmware prototypes, in both the development and validation stages.What you needPhD or MS in EE, CS, or related engineering field5+ years experience in signal processing methods and algorithm design (FIR/IIR filters, adaptive filtering, statistical processes, time/frequency analysis, etc)Experience with pre-processing and analyzing large time-series datasetsExperience in embedded C/C++, especially in resource constrained systemsExperience with embedded microcontrollers, such as ARM Cortex M0/M4 or similarNice to have: Experience with Machine Learning approaches a plusNice to have: Working knowledge of mixed-signal hardware design for embedded systemsStrong proficiency in PythonStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong critical thinking skills and high attention to detailAbility to work under pressure in a startup environmentYou're excited about this opportunity because you will:
