Job description

Our client is seeking a PowerBI Developer and Analytics Lead to join their team. This role is a unique blend of Power BI Development, Data Governance, and Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing executive-level data visualizations, managing end-to-end data, and creating organized data structures for visualization. This is a remote, full-time position, primarily supporting Eastern and Central time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and end-users to gather and refine requirements for reports and dashboards
Design and create interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI
Optimize report and dashboard performance by improving data queries, data model efficiency, and report rendering speed
Design and implement data governance practices, including data access controls, role-level security, and data documentation
Work with the client to acquire, document, validate, and integrate data sources from across the client organization
Perform data analysis using data from various sources including data warehouses
Develop and maintain complex data models, including establishing relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience required
Strong proficiency with PowerBI - building dashboards, reports, scorecards, etc.
Proficiency with Python and Synapse required
Experience with Workiva highly preferred
Strong, concise communication and client-facing skills
Past experience at a consulting firm or digital agency strongly preferred
