Overview:

AVIAN is seeking a motivated and creative Senior Education, Learning and Training (ELT) Specialist to be part of our dynamic Training, Multimedia and Communications team. You will create innovative training solutions on behalf of the Volpe Center in support of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) programs. Technical expertise in online course design, interactive simulation, virtual representation, video and other training platforms is a must

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities: 

  • Leverage the ADDIE process to produce multimodal course content, supplemental materials and learning activities 
  • Determine training gaps by analyzing federal regulations, available training, and knowledge outcomes. 
  • Develop learning assessments that reflect the mastery of the desired learning goals. 
  • Design and implement the validation of learning content and delivery with all key stakeholders. 
  • Lead the design of eLearning and Virtual Live Instruction Training Plans, Webinars, Design Documents, Storyboards, and Evaluation Plans. 
  • Present plans, analysis results, and eLearning documents to sponsors. 
  • Build relationships with SMEs and key stakeholders on numerous design and communication teams. 
  • Provide design and implementation feedback to ELT, design, and communication team members. 
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product  
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design  
  • Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process 
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, animations, simulations, role plays, games etc.) 
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, business, marketing, communications, graphic design or equivalent experience   
  • 10+ years of corporate instructional design experience  
  • Expertise in scripting, designing and developing courseware with eLearning authoring tools and multimedia production software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects  
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and strong understanding of how learners consume information  
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into easily understood text and graphics  
  • Experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously  
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; strong attention to detail  
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills  
  • Project management experience is a plus  
  • Voice-over, filming and video/audio editing experience is a plus  
  • Experience in coding interactive content with HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Animate CC and Sharepoint is a plus  
  • Work samples are required  
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.  
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
