Job description

The Opportunity

As our sales trainer, you will work as part of the people team managing the onboarding, training, and skills progression for our team of Sales Professionals (BDR’s & AE’s).

We currently have 80+ salespeople working with various clients. The Sales Factory is a training organization at its core and we are looking for the right person who is passionate about sales, training, coaching, and pedagogy. This role is vital for the continued success of TSF as it impacts our core objectives of continuously improving employee skills, employee satisfaction, and client satisfaction.  
 
This is a remote role and remote learning environment. Your primary objective will be to help The Sales Factory take the best candidates from across the country looking to break into B2B sales and turn them into the best well rounded sales professionals and future sales leaders in the shortest period of time through continuous learning.    

Primary Responsibilities
  • Onboarding: Conduct training for new hires joining the organization
  • BDR Improvement: Training of current BDR's and developing individualized training plans for underperforming BDR's
  • Progression and skills development: Develop a full BDR function lifecycle skills progression plan with milestones, skills thresholds, and evaluation methods to help each rep improve skills, understanding, responsibility, and level of autonomy to the point of promotion out of the role
  • Schedule training events for individuals and teams based on needs and continuous learning objectives
  • Listen to sales calls and review sales emails to determine the training needs for individuals and/or teams
  • Develop sales performance policies and evaluations/scorecards
  • Improve training techniques when needed to meet the unique demands of certain accounts 
  • Recommend and manage the budget for training events and evaluate success and ROI
  • Stay updated with current market trends and the changing demands of B2B tech business development, sales development, and marketing

  • Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in sales enablement, business development or outbound sales (cold calling and cold emailing)
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Very process-oriented
  • Familiar with performance management methods and data-driven decision making
  • Very self-motivated and goal-oriented

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sales training, sales enablement or education background
  • Education experience or coaching experience
  • Passion for sales, teaching, and human behaviour/psychology 
  • Proven sense of employee empathy with high emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  • Familiarity with sales coaching techniques
  • Passion for helping people, problem-solving, and creative solutions
