Job description

Location: Remote UK or US. 
Eligibility to work in the UK / US: We welcome applications from candidates already eligible to work in the UK / US or those who can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK / US (e.g. dependent visas, ancestry etc.) that do not require sponsorship from Whereby. You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment.
Interviews: Around 6 hours over a few weeks, including some practical tasks.
Salary: Base salary £ 50,000 ($ 66,600) + commission, with uncapped commission potential.

Your mission at Whereby

As an Account Executive, your mission will be to drive revenue growth by closing deals with medium to large Telehealth organizations. You will be the face of Whereby Embedded, our API product, to key decision-makers, working to expand our footprint in the healthcare industry. With a focus on enterprise-level customers, you will help unlock the potential of seamless video integration for healthcare platforms, enabling them to offer a better user experience through our cutting-edge API solution.

Sales team mission

Whereby is loved by millions of users worldwide, and our Sales team plays a key role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. Focused on the Telehealth and Digital Mental Health industries, we’re on a mission to facilitate healthcare consultations globally through enterprise customers in the sector.

As an Account Executive, you’ll play a critical role in executing the team’s mission by identifying and closing new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Commercial and ProdEng teams to meet and exceed sales targets.

Your previous experience

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has 3+ years of experience in a B2B Account Executive or similar role, preferably in SaaS or the healthcare technology sector
• Has a track record of successfully closing deals with medium to large enterprises
• Is experienced in selling complex technical solutions, including APIs, to healthcare providers or platforms
• Is comfortable leading negotiations and handling complex sales cycles
• Is experienced working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo.io, etc.)

The nuts and bolts of the role

Strategic responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies to close deals with enterprise healthcare platforms
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in the telehealth and digital mental health industries
• Collaborate with the Commercial and ProdEng teams to create compelling proposals that address client needs
• Provide insights into market trends and contribute to the overall sales strategy for the healthcare vertical

Tactical responsibilities

• Lead the sales cycle from qualified prospect handoff (from SDRs) to contract negotiations and closure
• Work closely with the SDR team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and maintain alignment on pipeline priorities
• Conduct detailed needs assessments with clients to tailor Whereby’s API solutions to their specific requirements
• Present product demos to key stakeholders, showcasing the value of Whereby Embedded solutions
• Collaborate with Marketing and ProdEng teams to align sales efforts with ongoing campaigns and product developments
• Maintain accurate records of all activities, including interactions with SDRs and clients, in our CRM system
• Provide feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve Whereby’s offerings based on customer feedback and market demands
