Job description

This is a remote position.

Note: To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of Kenya,Rwanda, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, or South Africa.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Recruiter/Generalist to join our team in Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local labor market and HR practices, and be able to recruit effectively, onboard, and support our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:
    • Source and screen qualified candidates for open positions using various methods (e.g., job boards, social media, referrals).
    • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' suitability for roles.
    • Extend job offers and manage the onboarding process.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Handle employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist with performance management processes, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
    • Process payroll and benefits.
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy:
    • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers.


  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in HR, preferably in Africa.
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one local language.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using HR management systems (HRMS).
