This is a remote position.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of life underwriting in the Canadian market.

Job Description:

Assesses risk accurately to an approval limit of $500,000 - $2,000,000 for individual life
Provides sound risk decisions and related support to the sales & marketing and retail business line teams
Assesses the mortality and financial risk for individual life insurance applications through an analysis of financial and medical information
Provides support to the sales team in the management of the distribution relationship
Interacts with reinsurance providers to spread risks on retention amounts that exceed the retention limit
Participates as an active team member and leads assigned projects
