JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Oracle Utilities Overview

At Utilities Global Business Unit, we build and operate SaaS solutions to transform how people interact with their utility (providers of electricity, gas and/or water) and how utilities interact with their customers. Improving the relationship between Utility and Customer is a key building block of our mission “To provide the best solutions for the world’s energy and water challenges.” Via SaaS solutions built on Oracle’s next-generation cloud infrastructure (OCI), we speed delivery of utility-specific services, increase corporate administration efficiency, and turn business data into business intelligence.

Opower Data Hub Group Overview

We are a former start-up (Opower) that was acquired by Oracle in 2016 but kept our start-up energy and atmosphere. We tackle some of the biggest challenges that Utilities face, through our ability to use utility data, behavioral science, and intuitive product design to help them leverage their Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and evolving rate design to reach millions of households.

Our group within Opower, the Data Hub organization, owns important platforms such as AMI and Rates, and we have an ambitious multi-year initiative to solve some fundamental challenges and to scale our Rates platform to serve even more customers across more products for years to come. That represents big challenges that will require critical thinking, innovative engineering, and ability to collaborate across business functions. We are very mission driven and are looking for an engineer who shares this mission to join our team!
