Summary/objective

The Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for assisting the Accounts Receivable Manager in overseeing the staff and processes related to accounts receivable and customer services. Assist in managing, mentoring, and developing team members. Routinely reviews inefficiencies and opportunities for improvements or cost-savings with the manager. Maintain and implement standard policies and procedures.

  • Accomplishes department objectives by assisting Manager with managing staff, planning, and evaluating department activities.
    • Assistant Manager will take over the Manager’s job duties when they are out of the office or away from their desk. 
  • Providing direction to team members, including constructive criticism and positive feedback to support personal development and ongoing improvement.
  • Be the 2nd line interviewer for new hires.
  • Help evaluate and put together employee performance evaluations.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Assist team to ensure billing requirements and deadlines are achieved.
    • Assist the collections of receivables to ensure customers stay in good standings.  Escalate any collection issues to the Manager.
  • Assist with developing, coordinating, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Maintains efficiency in department by enforcing accurate and efficient accounting standards, analyzing and resolving issues, and recommending system improvements.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Monthly Reports:
  • Job has a responsibility for the supervision of others which include the recruitment and training of personnel, time off approvals, reporting employee issues, conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable Manager
  • Assist in managing, mentoring, and developing associates
  • Help evaluate and put together employee performance evaluations.
  • Consolidate and review monthly KPI reports with the Manager for analysis to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Routinely reviews inefficiencies and opportunities for improvements or cost-savings with the manager
  • Perform other projects and tasks as required by management.

Pay Range
$50,000

Work Hours

8 am – 5 pm CST / Monday - Friday

  • Prolonged requirement to sit whilst completing computer and desk-based tasks.
  • Must be available during the core hours of 7:00AM to 7:00PM CST. During any THD designated catastrophe you may be required to work additional hours including evenings and weekends.
Travel required
  • Must be able to travel for required training and team building which may include overnight stays in a hotel.
Required education and experience
  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
  • Management experience is preferred.

Preferred education and experience
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
