Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Content Licensing Manager to spearhead the monetization efforts of an extensive archive of footage with epic, viral potential. With over 2,000 viral videos, collectively generating over millions in revenue and garnering billions of views, we recognize the immense potential for further monetization through strategic licensing agreements. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of sales acumen, content management expertise, and an entrepreneurial spirit to drive revenue growth through the licensing of our content to various platforms and organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a plan to monetize our video archive by licensing it effectively.
  • Find and pursue licensing opportunities with platforms, broadcasters, advertisers, and others in the industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key people in the industry to make deals happen.
  • Negotiate and optimize deals that are lucrative and protect our content.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to make sure deals meet our legal and financial needs.
  • Keep an eye on trends and competitors to find new chances to license our content.
  • Manage the whole licensing process from talking to partners to signing contracts and delivering content.
  • Give regular updates and reports on our licensing work, money we're making, and future chances for growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in licensing content, especially in media or entertainment.
  • Knowledge about intellectual property rights, copyright laws, and licensing rules.
  • Good network of contacts in the industry.
  • Great at negotiating to effectively close deals.
  • Strategic thinker who can spot and maximize business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-driven and works well independently. 
  • Love for digital media and an understanding of the rapid changes within the online entertainment industry.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media, or similar is a bonus, but not required.
