Position: Software Engineer Specialist - Full Stack Java

Duration: 12 month contract to hire

Location: Remote

Technologies: Java, Spring Framework, JavaScript, Angular or React, AWS, RESTful API’s, SQL, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain high performance, scalable Java applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional team to understand the requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Write well-designed, testable and efficient code.

Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives.

Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues.

Mentor junior developers and share best practices

Lead technical discussions and provide strategic direction on software architecture and design.

Develop and enforce coding standards and best practices across the development team.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Expert Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and related technologies.

Extensive experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ionic, Angular or React.

Experience with AWS cloud computing services

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.

Extensive experience with SQL databases.

Expert Knowledge of version control systems, particularly GitHub

Deep Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Deep Knowledge of Agile development and methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills
