Job description

Project description

Several secondary schools in Nepal have requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as Digital Learning Trainers. The Government of Nepal has started computer and information technology education in public schools, and many high schools have established computer labs to provide hands on learning opportunity to students on computers and information technology. This project aims to support the sustainable implementation of effective e-learning tools and activities so that learners develop information technology skills necessary to access academic and/or professional opportunities.

Each PCRV will collaborate with counterpart computer teachers to increase their knowledge and skills to teach computer science curricula more effectively. Through weekly workshops and ongoing coaching, the PCRV will facilitate a professional development experience that leads counterpart teachers to identify and utilize available resources for learning, and to develop and use ICT in teaching all the school subjects including computer science.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Nepal together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
