Position Objective:

The Channel Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a bonafide hustler responsible for driving the partnership pipeline and crushing quotas. The SDR plays a critical hunter role in identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with potential channel partners to expand Blacksmith Agency's reach and drive new sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sales, relationship building, and interest in channel development. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to generate new business through partnerships and alliances.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Qualify Potential Channel Partners: Research and identify potential partners that align with Blacksmith Agency’s services and growth objectives.

  • Outreach and Relationship Building: Engage with potential partners via email, phone, and LinkedIn to build relationships and educate them about our services.

  • Develop and Maintain a Channel Sales Pipeline: Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective partners and regularly update the Salesforce CRM system with relevant details and progress.

  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the partnership, marketing, and sales teams to create tailored materials and support resources for channel partners.

  • Lead Generation and Follow-up: Generate leads through channel partners and follow up on potential sales opportunities to ensure consistent growth.

  • Conduct Product Demos and Presentations: Conduct virtual meetings and presentations to showcase our services and demonstrate how potential partners can benefit from collaborating with Blacksmith Agency.

  • Negotiate Partner Agreements: Assist in the negotiation of channel partner agreements to ensure mutual benefits and long-term relationships.

  • Provide Ongoing Support: Act as a point of contact for channel partners, providing support and helping them to maximize their success and revenue generation.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Experience: exposure to sales development or business development role, preferably in channel sales or partnership development.

  • Sales Skills: Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills 

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  • Driven and Self-Motivated: Highly motivated with a hunter mentality and a proactive approach to identifying and creating new business opportunities.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Suite, sales automation tools, and other digital platforms to manage the sales process.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a strong individual drive for results.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment and adapting to changing priorities and opportunities especially as our partnership program grows and expands.

  • Passion for Digital Marketing: A strong interest in web design, development, and digital marketing is a plus.Hunter mentality
