This strategic sales role is integral to driving F5 XC’s success by leveraging your in-depth knowledge of modern technologies that enable businesses to achieve their goals or address complex challenges. The position demands a strong combination of strategic thinking and tactical execution to seize business opportunities. You will manage all aspects of relationships with key accounts of significant strategic importance, ensuring that revenue targets are consistently met.

As the primary point of contact for these accounts, you will maintain high-level relationships, focusing on the strategic alignment between F5 and our customers. Your ability to build and sustain relationships, communicate effectively at all levels, and develop opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio is critical. You will be tasked with effectively selling F5’s solutions and services, including those related to multi-cloud networking, application security, and distributed cloud services, using your technical and organizational expertise to influence and build trust. This role also requires effective collaboration with Systems Integrators, large Service Providers, and regional VARs. This is a quota-carrying, individual contributor position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, maintaining high-level, strategic relationships focused on aligning F5 XC’s solutions with customer needs.
  • Drive the sale of F5’s products and services, particularly in multi-cloud environments, application delivery, API security, and edge computing, while ensuring ongoing customer service and expanding key accounts.
  • Identify and qualify both long-term and short-term business opportunities, proactively addressing competitive threats within cloud and distributed computing landscapes.
  • Prepare formal proposals and presentations, lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and close sales with a focus on F5 XC’s core offerings such as multi-cloud networking, Zero Trust architectures, and cloud-native security.
  • Manage and develop key partner relationships, facilitating high-level communication between F5, its partners, and customers, particularly on strategic initiatives around secure application services and cloud-based networking.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and regulatory developments that impact cloud and networking markets, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Understand customer business needs, align them with F5’s technical value-added solutions in areas like cloud-native application security, API gateway management, and secure access service edge (SASE), and communicate these effectively to decision makers.
  • Research potential customers within key accounts, develop and follow up on leads, and drive these opportunities to closure by highlighting F5 XC’s unique value propositions in multi-cloud and edge computing.
  • Develop and execute market strategies for F5 XC’s product and service offerings, aligning them with the specific strategies, goals, and objectives of named accounts.

  • Ability to work from a home office located within the territory. 
  • Specialized knowledge of networking products, preferably F5’s. 
  • Experience with Internet related software or systems. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a relevant environment. 
  • BA/BS degree preferred. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Job may be performed onsite at a customer facility, data center, or in an office environment at a desk or computer table. 
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. 
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% via automobile and airplane, with occasional on call duties and work outside normal hours.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $135,764.00 - $203,646.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
