We currently have a full-time Representative, Mobile Sales at our East Ontario region (Kingston to Quebec Border) location. The candidate is required to successfully pass a comprehensive background screening, as mandated by the primary client service by this route.

Job Summary: As a Retail Mobile Sales Representative, your primary responsibility is to transport and operate a mobile retail unit to various locations, bringing products and services directly to customers. You will play a crucial role in promoting and selling merchandise from the mobile truck, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the retail business.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Operating:

  • Safely operate and drive the mobile retail truck to designated locations, adhering to traffic rules and regulations. safe driving according to weather conditions and both provincial and federal
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and functionality. Identify truck defects and/or safety concerns and address these defects/safety concerns accordingly.
  • Set up and operate the mobile retail unit, including any necessary displays or equipment.

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide information about products, promotions, and services offered from the mobile retail unit.
  • Answer customer inquiries and address concerns effectively.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Actively engage in sales activities, promoting products and driving sales to achieve targets.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase foot traffic to the mobile retail unit.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate personnel.

Cash Handling:

  • Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods responsibly.

Maintenance:

  • Ensure the truck and retail box and equipment is kept clean and in working order. Report any truck and mechanical defects to the fleet operations manager to arrange for repair.
  • Keeps truck clean, well merchandised.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, product receiving complete within 24 hours, and any customer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle accident incidents and customer injury incidents via forms provided.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and other relevant metrics.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes that may impact mobile retail operations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. This varies by province and will need to be adjusted for each posting. Commercial driver’s licenses are not required in each province and in Ontario it depends on how the truck is registered, either as a G class(regular licensing) or D-Class(commercial).
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record. Commercial license is an asset.
  • Previous experience in driving commercial vehicles, especially mobile retail units, is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Physical fitness for tasks such as setting up displays and lifting merchandise. The ability to lift up to 50Lbs and the use of dexterity.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including early mornings and evenings as needed.
  • Maximum drive hours as set by the Ministry of transportation is always strictly adhered to.
