Job description

Title: Sales and Merchandising Associate

Location: Remote (Arizona)

This position requires regular travel, with 3-4 days per week spent on the road visiting accounts and supporting dealer activities. The role includes overnight travel approximately once a month, totaling around 25% of the time, and one day per week working from the home office.

We are actively seeking a Sales and Merchandising Associate to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love!

As our Sales and Merchandising Associate, you’ll make an impact by:

  • Achieving account objectives assigned by developing and implementing sales plans.
  • Driving sales growth using approved tactics to enhance the overall performance Compana Distribution F&H & Pet P&L.
  • Planning and managing sales routes effectively to execute sales strategies outlined by manager.
  • Supporting dealers with promotional planning, execution, and special events.
  • Meeting sales goal metrics including but not limited to, number of promotions sold, weekly retailer calls, points of distribution (POD) creation and Distributor Sales Representative (DSR) ride-alongs.
  • Providing training, participate in tradeshows, and conducting line reviews for all assigned accounts to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
  • Proactively engaging with dealers through routine calls to drive sales growth, promote new items, and implement program placements.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and outside sales experience preferred.
  • Must have a proven track record of building relationships and executing sales strategies to penetrate, close, and manage business.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of enthusiasm, professionalism, and motivation.
  • Solid negotiation, financial acumen, and closing skills.
