About The Opportunity

A Software Developer III is a professional who designs, creates, and maintains software applications. They are significant contributors in feature delivery and are responsible for analyzing user needs, developing software solutions, and writing code to meet those requirements.

The Dayforce Product Development team is looking for an intelligent Software Developer to create the industry’s next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. We are offering an opportunity to reinvent HCM and develop award winning and innovative solutions that challenge the industry perception of what an HCM solution can do.

As a developer on our Global Payroll team, you will be working on our ground-breaking solution that helps companies increase their efficiencies through paying employees accurately and on time. Your impact will be evident through your effective participation in the entire lifecycle of our software including design, analysis, prototyping, development, testing and support of our products. You will work closely and collaborate with clients, prospects, implementation partners, and Dayforce personnel to envision and deliver the required functionality.

  • Designing, coding and testing medium to large features
  • Debugging complex issues anywhere in tech stack
  • Using tooling to improve efficiency
  • Conducting meaningful and effective Test Automation
  • Providing basic on call support
  • Taking business requirements and understanding how to translate into features
  • Breaking down tasks, prioritizing and understanding dependencies, and providing accurate estimates
  • Tackling Technical Debt reduction recommendations with understanding of impact
  • Guiding team members, significantly contributing to the team’s overall success.

Skills And Experience We Value

  • In-depth working experience with C# and .NET Framework
  • Experience building highly-performant RESTful API
  • Experience building highly-performant and scalable applications
  • Proficiency with T-SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
  • Proficiency with GraphQL
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure such as Azure
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and development
  • Fast learner and extremely comfortable with building and improving complex software systems for critical business processes
  • Experienced working in an Agile scrum team as a key contributor and a team player
  • Able to consistently solve complex technical issues independently when required
  • Excels in taking ownership of design, build and quality for assigned tasks and issues until completion
  • University level Computer science or computer engineering degree or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain Protected B security clearance
