Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for a Pensions Project Analyst to join our vibrant Administration Projects Team (APT) with remote working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a pure pensions administration role, or pensions project role where they have gained knowledge and experience of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.

The Team

Our award-winning pensions administration business puts scheme members at the heart of everything we do. Our services include scheme administration, first-time outsourcing, member communications and scam protection.

Our Administration Projects Team (APT) team undertakes projects such as:

  • GMP rectification/equalisation
  • Buy-in/ Buy-out
  • Data Cleansing
  • Ad hoc projects for example scheme closures, benefit rectifications, liability reduction exercises
  • McCloud implementation: Public sector pension benefit rectification across police, fire, MOJ and LGPS pension schemes.

The Role

As a Pensions Project Analyst With XPS You Will

  • Support Senior Project Analysts and Project Consultants to undertake project work; ensuring delivery in line with project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Updating relevant pension administration databases and systems
  • Performing basic calculations
  • Running automated systems extracts.
  • Data Manipulation
  • Reviewing Member Records
  • Working closely with other departments/teams to ensure project delivery
  • Ensuring the accurate updating of time recording system for both chargeable and non- chargeable activities and meeting required utilisation target
  • Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.

Your profile

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a similar role or within pensions administration.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in advance of deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Able to see projects/tasks through to completion within given timescales.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Able to follow instructions, procedures, policies and assimilate information quickly in a consistent manner.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility for own work.
  • Enthusiastic, positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required to perform the duties - both numerical and written.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • An active listener and able to follow through on instructions given.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Good Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
