We're embarking on an exciting journey to modernize Dayforce using cutting-edge cloud, microservices, and Microsoft technologies. This modernization will introduce automation, increased flexibility, and responsiveness, leveraging AI to further enhance our solutions.

We’re looking for talented Software Developer Associates with strong Backend development skills to design and implement sophisticated Dayforce solutions. Reporting to the Development Manager, you'll be part of an Agile team, contributing to both new product development and the enhancement of existing solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills and have a tangible impact on our products.

Our enterprise solutions, delivered on-demand using the latest technologies, offer faster deployments, lower costs, superior user experiences, and quicker, more sustainable returns on investment.

Who You Are

  • A Software Developer Associate: You have hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET framework and SQL, working within an Agile team through the entire software development lifecycle.
  • A Problem Solver: You thrive on creating customized solutions and are passionate about addressing customer needs with sophisticated yet user-friendly technology.
  • A Team Player: You’re excited to join a global organization that operates with agility, combining the dynamics of a scale-up with the stability of a large enterprise.
  • A Future Graduate: You aspiring to pursue a career in software engineering/development and currently pursuing their final semester ( Year 3 or 4 Semester 2)

What's In It For You

  • Leadership: Play a pivotal role in our 10x mission, contributing to the next generation of Dayforce products. You will have the opportunity to innovate and delight our customers, gaining visibility and hands-on expertise across various projects.
  • Teamwork: Be part of an inclusive and supportive culture that promotes continuous learning and professional development. Collaborate with a high-performing team dedicated to improving our software solutions and customer experience.
  • Growth: With our focus on internal promotion, you’ll have ample opportunities to develop deep technical expertise, gain valuable business insights, and explore various roles within the organization.

As Our New Software Developer Associate, You Will

  • Create and Code: Design and develop quality, scalable code using design patterns. Write unit tests, contribute to automation activities, and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with your Scrum team, actively participating in meetings, sprints, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Adapt to various tasks and contribute to timely deliverables.
  • Communicate: Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies, continually upskilling your abilities in design, coding, and testing.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Proven background in .NET framework development for SaaS and cloud-based applications, ideally with enterprise clients. Interest in Human Capital Management is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in a modern object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java, C++), strong SQL skills, and exposure to modern JavaScript libraries (e.g., Dojo, React, Angular, Backbone, jQuery) is advantageous.
  • Agile Approach: Expertise in Agile Scrum methodology and experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong networks and relationships with teams, peers, clients, and leadership. Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and work through ambiguity.
