Job description

Position Objectives:

  • Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communications’ products to the Enterprise Network market in the allocated region, in Datacenter applications.
  • Generate leads and identify new opportunities, positioning and specifying Corning’s solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end users, distribution channels and integrators / installers.
  • Develop and implement territory plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field.
  • Ensure that all Corning Optical Communications’ business processes are followed.


Key Measures:

  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales levels for all products through regular sales calls to a targeted, balanced mix of end users, consultants, distributors and contractors generating a preference for Corning Optical Communications’ products.
  • Maintain positive Customer relationships across key functional areas including appropriate Executive action.
  • Maintain and update Account Plans, Opportunities and activities for allocated region in the respective CRM database.
  • Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of Corning Optical Communications’ products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage.
  • Communicate competitive information obtained from all sources to specific Product Line Managers, Marketing and Sales.
  • Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions in the territory to promote Corning Optical Communications’ solutions and support targeted distributors’ sales effort.
  • As a representative of Corning Optical Communications convey the highest level of professionalism in behavior and appearance, uphold Corning’s Values and help fulfill all Customer expectations of Corning as a World Class Supplier


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical) or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of sales experience preferably in the same industry, with proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
  • Strong technical / product / industry knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Very good French and English language skills.
  • High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week.


Location:

  • The position holder must be able to work effectively from a home office base with minimum supervision. An office in Boulogne-Billancourt can be used.
