Real Chemistry is looking for an Associate Director, Integrated Media Planning to join our growing Integrated Media team!
The Associate Director, Integrated Media Planning acts as a paid media partner with clients and internal, cross-functional stakeholders, and as a key lead on client business to ensure paid media and digital marketing initiatives deliver against the brand’s strategic direction. You will contribute to driving an audience-first planning and activation approach, working closely with Media Activation, Analytics, Creative and Account teams to deliver optimal digital marketing strategies for our clients.
The ideal candidate has the ability to translate data and insights into holistic cross-channel media plans for a variety of healthcare brands, is a strong team and client lead who frequently brings innovative ideas to the table, as well as an experienced people manager who leads by example and can motivate a team by fostering a positive, entrepreneurial team culture.
At the core, you are data driven in your approach and can easily identify and present the most effective strategies to address client and brand needs, while having a strong analytical mindset and a strong understanding of emerging digital technologies and trends to drive innovation for clients.
This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston and Chicago.
What You’ll Do
- The role requires deep experience with holistic media planning to effectively manage leading the strategy, execution/deliverable coordination and budget management of corporate and marketing paid media campaigns across a variety of digital channels.
- Critical to the success of this role is ensuring that smart, omni-channel plans are being delivered to clients and that the activation strategy is well planned and carefully thought out. You are responsive to coordinated strategy and activation processes, both inside and outside paid media, and are viewed as a highly valuable partner across all partners within the organization.
- You will be required to develop audience profiles and uncover unique insights to enhance channel planning.
- Your work will include analyzing campaign outcomes and marketing ROI, drawing insights to facilitate data-driven decisions and optimizations in partnership with Activation colleagues.
- This role requires someone who can comfortably navigate between projects and priorities while leading a book of clients. You will maintain direct client contact and work closely with internal and external partners to ensure the day-to-day digital account activity is running smoothly.
- You will actively manage workloads of junior team members and troubleshoot concerns with clients, suppliers and partners. As a team player, you will step in to assist Directors/Managers in meeting deliverables, and maintain the lead on the largest projects and provide input and delegate tasks as needed to fulfill projects.

What You Should Have
- 5-7+ years of experience with digital media planning / activation and 2+ years of progressive levels of responsibility including people management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and comfortable communicating with senior level clients, external and internal partners
- Able to work successfully with teams, balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical abilities with the ability to support media mix modeling and analyze campaign outcomes
- Well versed in 360-media planning. Experience with omni-digital channels is a requirement. Experience with offline, traditional media (print, OOH, linear video, radio) is a plus.
- Ability to effectively navigate media research platforms and other audience or landscape research
- Solid understanding of audience segment creation and audience targeting
- Ability to draw insights from reporting to deliver fully integrated strategic recommendations to improve client ROI
- A ‘test and learn’, growth-driving approach to digital media is crucial
- History of working with channel activation and analytics teams to deliver insightful and compelling performance reports that deliver the ‘so what’ and ‘what’s next’ for clients
- History of working with creative teams to ensure seamless alignment across media and creative
- Healthcare/pharmaceutical experience a plus, or other regulated industries
Pay Range: $94,000.00 - $115,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
