How You’ll Contribute

As a Product Marketing Writer, you’ll be responsible for the creation of impactful product content for the Brighthouse Financial Life Insurance and Annuities product suite. In this role, the Writer is expected to be involved in all content creation as assigned, making sure it applies the strategies outlined in our Mode of Expression and Brand Standards.

This role has responsibility to create and/or review all marketing content (print and digital) making sure that it aligns with and advances the particular product campaign as well as the Brighthouse Financial umbrella campaign. This role is charged with creating content to address challenges and opportunities revealed by advisor and customer research and input from our Product and Distribution partners in the field as other team members reach capacity.

In This Role, You’ll Get To

  • Create marketing content for our entire suite of products working from existing and newly created pieces, taking into consideration visual concepts and planning documents that guide messaging for new material development and multi-media promotion.
  • Work collaboratively with creative services, both internal and external, to execute on content deliverables within project timeframes.
  • Help maintain consistent messaging across product lines in all mediums.
  • We’re looking for people who have:
  • 4 years+ of experience creating content in the financial services industry within Marketing, Product Management, Distribution (experience in life insurance or annuities preferred).
  • Attention to detail with a curious and creative mind, excited by the challenges brought on by the new retirement landscape.
  • Strong collaborator, with an ability to work effectively with senior managers, peers, and other stakeholders in Product, Legal, Distribution, and Creative Services.
  • Ability to adhere prioritize work in a fast-paced and timeline-driven environment.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred (preferably in Journalism, English, or Marketing).
  • If not licensed, will be expected to obtain the FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7.

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
