SAIC is seeking an experienced SW Test Engineer to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program to ensure the quality of our software products. (This is a fully remote position, with no onsite requirements).
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies, managing testing resources, and ensuring that all testing activities are completed on time. This is a fully remote position with no travel or onsite requirements.
AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement testing strategies and plans to ensure the quality of our software products.
Ensure that all testing activities are completed on time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to identify and prioritize testing needs.
Analyze testing results and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain testing documentation and reports.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Must be US Citizen and currently possess an active Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s and 5+ years or more experience; Master's and 3+ years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including automated testing frameworks.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II certification or above (Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of cloud-based testing tools and platforms, such as Selenium or Appium.
Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE.
Experience with test management tools, such as TestRail, PractiTest, or Kiwi TCMS.
Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
