Description
Our client, an original automotive warranty provider, is looking for Mechanical Claims Specialists to join our growing customer contact team. As a Mechanical Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation of honesty, fairness, and excellence by combining exceptional customer service and your automotive expertise to assist customers through our customer contact center.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of a team that reviews, investigates, and authorizes minor mechanical claims based on a wide range of established contract guidelines
- You will be communicating via telephone and email with retail and wholesale customers, repair facilities, and non-related parties to resolve and process claims
- You will be utilizing a variety of technology and communication tools to process claims, review policies and procedures, labor times, and retrieve documents
- You will be using tools such as AllData, Mitchell, and other Labor Guides to obtain labor times for specific minor mechanical repairs
The Three Main Calls You Will Take Will Be
- Dealerships calling with repairs required on car to determine if the repairs needed will be covered by the auto warranty, they will have a list of guidelines that will allow them to determine if the claims should be approved or denied.
- Car owners will be calling to understand why a claim is either approved or denied.
- Car owners will be calling to determine what they should do for an issue with their car. The rep will advise them the process required to get a quote and next steps to determine if the repair will be covered.
Overall they will need to be using their mechanical knowledge to understands the issue with the automobile and then advise the dealership or customer what is approved, denied or what the next steps in the process of claim is needed.
Skills & Qualifications
3+ Years of automotive mechanical experience or mechanical claims experience
ASE Or Other Automotive Certification Preferred (can Be Expired)
Strong Communication Skills / Computer Skills - use of multiple programs to determine claim
Experience with Labor guides - They use All Data (plus not required)
Experience Level
Experience with Scan Tools (plus not required)
