Remote EEG Monitoring Technologist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide remote EEG monitoring and documentation.
  • View and report on the status of EEG and video recording as well as electrode impedances and data integrity.
  • Provide troubleshooting support during shift for issues that may arise requiring contact with the patient or equipment vendor.
  • Oversee the adequate function of the EEG recording system and electrodes to maintain the integrity of the monitoring procedure.
  • Contact appropriate personnel and/or patient to assist when recording or integrity issues occur.
  • Contact the patient to ensure the system is plugged in, the recorder is connected, the amplifier is connected, adjust the video camera as needed to keep the patient in view of the camera, etc.
  • Review EEG data for documentation of normal and abnormal EEG patterns and clinical symptoms. Prepare preliminary technologist reports as requested.
  • Carry out additional duties as needed to support both patient care and technical operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of normal and abnormal EEG patterns, and seizure activity with a clear understanding of the clinical correlations.
  • Possess a working knowledge of computers, technology, and various EEG recording equipment, along with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Available to work 12-hour shifts with night shift and weekend availability.
  • Provide a HIPAA-compliant workspace that ensures privacy and prevents unauthorized viewing with reliable internet service.
  • Current ABRET Board certification in EEG Technology (R. EEG T.) required.

Salary Range:

  • $23 to $27 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

  • 6 pm to 6 am AZ Time
  • Full Time and Part Time positions available

Location:

  • This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located within the United States.
