Position Summary
The Interior Designer is responsible for supporting the design efforts of the senior designer, project architect and project manager and toward solving client requirements while keeping in-line with project scope, schedule, and fee. Responsibilities may cover design and/or technical aspects of the project. Ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality assurance program is essential. The Interior Designer becomes thoroughly knowledgeable of the requirements of the assigned project and uses this knowledge in working to ensure compliance with the firm’s contractual obligations.

Position reports to the Studio Managing Director / Studio Director/ Senior Designer
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing information for the project team.
- Draw project elements proficiently to include 2d and 3d studies.
- Prepare design presentations in collaboration with senior members of team.
- Compile, organize and send drawings and files with transmittals.
- Read and understand project criteria and goals.
- Manage time to perform tasks in a specified time frame.
- Communicate and ask questions of other team members, contribute to the advancement of the project.
Role Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- 5 - 10 years of professional experience in interior design
- Registered or actively pursuing to be either US Registered Architect or NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer (preferred)
- LEED accreditation (preferred)
- Proficient knowledge of Revit software.
- Participate in Marketing and Business Development for the firm
- Excellent communication, graphic, and verbal presentation skills.
- Proficient in computer graphics software including but not limited to AutoCAD /Revit, 3-D Modeling Software, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative suite.
- Thorough knowledge of building and ADA codes.
- Working knowledge of construction and furniture costs to design to established budgets.
- Working knowledge of coordinating and integrating MEP systems into a project.
- Working knowledge of material and furniture sourcing, costs, bid process, applicability.
- Show interest in understanding of design, detailing, materials and construction methods.
- Ability to work on different projects in different phases.
- Adaptable to changing project schedules and deliverables.
