Position Overview:

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and executing social media strategies that build and support the online reputation of our clients. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, attention to detail, and strong professional judgment to the social media department while staying current with emerging technologies and trends. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management:

  • Import and schedule social media content using automated scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Ensure consistent scheduling and successful posting of content across all social media platforms.
  • Research and curate relevant third-party content to enhance the clients social media presence.
  • Develop and publish original, high-quality content tailored to each clients brand and audience.

Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with followers to create a human-touch experience across all social media profiles.
  • Engage with followers regularly, respond to comments and queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews.
  • Act as an advocate for the client in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

Strategy and Analysis:

  • Execute social media strategies to meet or exceed defined goals for follower growth, engagement, awareness, and web traffic.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, and design to continuously improve the social media strategy.
  • Conduct research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the Account Team to maintain brand consistency across all platforms.

Reporting and Optimization:

  • Assist in creating social media reports and audits to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role in managing social media strategies and content for multiple clients.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, Meet Edgar).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and good professional judgment.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in a marketing agency or with multiple client accounts.
  • Familiarity with additional social media tools or analytics platforms.
