The Social Media Strategist must have a love for social media, and the ability to roll up their sleeves and see things through to execution, distribution, and optimization. They will be an energetic and collaborative team member with responsibilities on high performing brands/accounts. They are ready to learn how it’s done—and bring their own ideas. Ideally, the right candidate will possess an interest in healthcare and how to reach various audiences. An idea partner, they know that collaboration is key, and that they are vital members of the team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop social media content in support of our client’s goals
  • Research, strategize, and create content calendars
  • Partner with creative team members to generate social content concepts
  • Have a point of view on all major social media platforms and a keen understanding of the role of paid social strategy as part of our offering (bonus if this person has experience with end-to-end execution of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn paid campaigns)
  • Enjoy analyzing data to uncover insights. Provides regular reports on performance, knows when to recommend a shift in strategy
  • Have a fundamental understanding, or interest in learning and implementing, rules around healthcare/products on social channels
  • Able to move seamlessly from brand to brand as needs arise
  • Establish relationships and present social media recommendations internally
  • Liaise with fellow disciplines to skillfully produce quality, intermedia work
  • Partner and communicate clearly with supervisors, creative team, project managers and account counterparts to ensure social media strategy and execution delivers quality work
  • Keep abreast of trends/award winning work to push team to deliver innovative thinking
  • Demonstrate agency principles in all professional and networking endeavors
  • Embody an understanding of client subject matter and ability to communicate their strategy
  • Liaise with account team for regular updates, opportunities to expand strategic thinking and growth opportunities
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of social media experience
  • Prior experience working with clients in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical space preferred but not required
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative
  • Proficient in writing across audiences and channels. Experience or interest in long-format writing (LinkedIn articles, blogs) is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $60K-$75K. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
