This is a work from home opportunity, and we are seeking remote Jr Accountant in Philippines.

The Accounting Associate/Jr Acc plays a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions by overseeing Accounts Payable (AP), handling some Accounts Receivable (AR) invoicing, and performing reconciliations. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, supports the month-end and year-end close processes, and contributes to maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.

Rate in USD: $4 - $5 per hour
Working Shift: EST || Night Shift in PH

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Process and review incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Manage vendor relationships and handle queries regarding payment status or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments, and/or payment files for ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain AP records and ensure all transactions are properly documented and filed.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Assist in generating and sending out invoices to customers.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections efforts.
  • Apply cash receipts to appropriate customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in AR balances.
Reconciliations:
  • Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other GL balances, as assigned.
  • Investigate and resolve any reconciliation discrepancies.
General Duties:
  • Maintain relevant mailboxes, including AP and AR, and ensure mail is forwarded to appropriate persons.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed to support overall financial objectives.

Requirements:
  • Certification or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on Accounts Payable.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (specifically Oracle NetSuite and/or Airbase) preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong English written and spoken communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
