Job Summary
As a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in US tax and accounting practices, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, tax compliance, auditing, and advising on financial strategies for US-based companies. You will bring a strong understanding of US tax regulations, GAAP, and cross-border tax planning to ensure the financial health and compliance of the organization. This role demands a deep knowledge of US tax laws and regulations, along with the ability to provide expert guidance on financial strategy and compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit functions in alignment with US tax and accounting standards.

  • Advise on financial strategies, ensuring compliance with US tax laws, GAAP, and multi-state tax requirements.

  • Provide expertise in cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing, and international tax treaties.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to explain complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and tax filings for US operations.

  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or an equivalent professional qualification.

  • CPA license.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with US companies, specializing in US tax laws, GAAP, and compliance.

  • Proven expertise in cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations.

  • Familiarity with multi-state tax filings, audit processes, and large corporate environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in explaining complex financial matters to non-finance professionals.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Schedule Requirements:
  • Ability to work night shifts during Eastern Time, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Technical Requirements:
  • Candidates must provide their equipment and technology meeting these minimum specifications:

  • Up-to-date desktop or laptop computer with at least 8GB of RAM and a modern processor (Intel i5 or equivalent)

  • Windows 10 or macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later

  • High-speed internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps

  • Functional headset with microphone, webcam, and reliable keyboard and mouse

  • Quiet workspace devoid of distractions

  • A second monitor is preferred but not required

  • Emergency backup or contingency plan for technology or connectivity issues
