Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for overseeing assigned company's accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collection, and reporting. This role involves collaborating with various departments to resolve billing issues, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting processes. The Accounts Receivable Coordinator also serves as a back-up for the Accounts Receivable Specialists. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices, and manage collections activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and issues and provide them with exceptional customer service by resolving disputes in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all phone call and email notes in the system
  • Analyze accounts receivable reports and provide insights on outstanding receivables and credit risk to management.
  • Work closely with sales, customer success, and operations teams to address billing issues, update customer information, and ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Two years of professional work experience, preferably in a customer service environment
  • Accounting experience with exposure to accounts receivable customer ledgers and ERP software like NetSuite
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills required
