Senior Director, Business Development - Supplies

At Signant Health, our Commercial team is rapidly growing, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge organization focused on developing state-of-the-art technology in hybrid and decentralized clinical trials. We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director, Business Development, to lead growth in the supplies market, with a strategic focus on expanding our services and products across the clinical supply chain. This senior-level role requires expertise in both supply chain management and SaaS technology, combined with industry knowledge and a highly competitive mindset.

The Senior Director will be responsible for driving complex sales initiatives and delivering results by leveraging their knowledge of clinical supplies and technology solutions, ensuring alignment with our broader organizational goals and portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales goals for assigned territories and accounts, with a focus on the clinical supply chain sector and SaaS technology offerings, aligned with business objectives for the financial year.
  • Develop and execute an annual territory or strategic account sales plan to meet annual sales targets, providing monthly progress updates to the Executive Director - Business Development, Supplies Solutions.
  • Lead sales initiatives related to clinical supply chain products and services, acting as the primary customer contact and collaborating with technical teams to achieve sales objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Solutions Architects, Contracts and Proposals, Technical Solutions, BD Operations, Operations) to deliver tailored customer proposals that address both client needs and business goals.
  • Build strong partnerships with customer decision-makers in the assigned territory to drive growth in supply chain solutions and services.
  • Forecast quarterly and annual sales achievements, ensuring sales activity targets are met in line with the company’s compensation plan.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven success in a business-to-business sales role, particularly within the life sciences sector, with experience selling complex technical solutions.
  • Deep expertise in supply chain management, with experience in clinical supplies, and strong knowledge of SaaS solutions within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership in proposal development and bid defense processes for large, complex deals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently present to high-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong strategic planning abilities, with a track record of developing and executing sales plans that meet or exceed targets.
  • Competitive mindset with a drive to achieve and surpass goals.
  • Ability to build and manage a comprehensive sales funnel and pipeline, providing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to bring together cross-functional teams to deliver winning proposals.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
  • Previous success in selling SaaS technology solutions, particularly in the pharmaceutical or CRO industries.
  • Experience working in a matrix reporting structure within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
