Job Description


We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Base Platform team. This team is responsible for developing secure cloud-native .net applications leveraging Azure by employing techniques such as TDD, BDD, DDD, Pair programming etc.


They adhere to SSDLC and often use practices such as threat modelling, PenTest, Bug Bounty, etc., to improve the security of our applications. They are an agile team that follows a Kanban/Scrum approach depending upon the needs.


This is a remote-based role from within the UK.


Responsibilities

  • Build a brand-new cloud-native platform leveraging Azure services to support our mission
  • Collaborate with various global engineering teams to develop software products
  • Work closely with Microsoft to provide best-of-breed technology solutions for our customers
  • Build and maintain tools that improve the Identity and Access Management for ULS base platform
  • Improve your coaching skills by mentoring other less experienced members of the team
  • Work towards continual deployment with a secure DevOps mindset

Qualifications

  • Professional experience with C#, .Net (8)
  • Familiar with APIs, Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience with Github actions (nice to have)
  • Experience with JavaScript and CSS (nice to have)
  • Proven experience working in the IAM space, or a closely related role would be beneficial
  • A good grasp of software engineering best practices and familiarity with Kanban/Scrum methodologies
  • Technical knowledge and experience in cloud software systems design such as Azure
  • Strong inclination to automation and software-driven engineering
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and methods; with multiple levels of internal stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across teams, functional groups and divisions
  • A passion for working on systems that are highly reliable, scalable, and secure
