Your missions

As a Payment Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of subcontractor payments. This position is perfect for finance and accounting professionals who enjoy working in a structured and detail-oriented environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing subcontractor payment assurance, exception reporting, and auditing payment data. You will investigate, interpret, and calculate payments, identify errors and their root causes, and ensure compliance with established standards. Additionally, you will manage and resolve payment disputes, maintaining meticulous records and documentation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Operations Site Supervisors & Managers, Finance teams, and Subcontractors, ensuring that all processes adhere to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily cases are thoroughly checked and investigated, maintaining comprehensive documentation in the system for audit purposes.
  • Respond promptly to stakeholders, adhering to the Service Level Agreement and team leader expectations.
  • Identify erroneous payments, investigate root causes, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Adjust and correct over/under payments in accordance with defined processes and delegated authority.
  • Provide clear and concise guidance to internal and external stakeholders on payment compliance standards.
  • Manage and resolve queries and disputes in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
  • Preferred experience in Finance, Payroll, Administration, or Dispute resolution.
  • Proven experience in analysing, auditing, and reporting on payment data (or big data).
  • Active listening skills combined with a high level of curiosity to understand and address stakeholder needs effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with the ability to stay motivated and driven.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
