As a Financial Analyst, you will support our finance team by analyzing data, creating financial models, and providing actionable insights to help drive business decisions. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Location

This is primarily a remote position, but candidates should be located within a 2-hour drive of Pittsburgh, PA, as occasional travel to the office will be required.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing financial data and creating detailed financial reports and models to support business decision-making.
  • Preparing financial statements and reports to track performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) for the leadership team.
  • Monitoring financial performance against forecasts, identifying trends, and sharing insights to guide leadership decisions.
  • Developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of capital expenditure proposals and investment appraisals.
  • Collaborating with various departments to refine KPIs and align them with the company’s goals.
  • Refining and developing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS or startup environment is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the U.S. permanently.
