Our Sales team is looking for a new talent starting at the earliest possible time as Territory Account Manager for the Northern United Kingdom and Scotland.

 

How you’ll add value 

As a Territory Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling the complete consumable and instrument portfolio of Consumables & Instruments range into the Life Science Market. You will use your knowledge and understanding of the market to enable us to expand our market share and grow our customer network. You will use your experience in the field to support your colleagues to drive the business to success on a country level.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Grow and develop all existing and potential Life Science customers within the market:  Universities, Biotech’s, Pharmaceutical and Clinical Laboratories across the C&I portfolio.
  • Align with preferred channel partners within the region, supporting in all areas aligned to driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver sales against quarterly targets, equating to the AOP, regular reporting out.
  • Report on pipeline and sales on a monthly basis.
  • Follow up on e-commerce leads and inbound leads and convert.
  • Represent Azenta in account tabletop meetings, seminars etc. and act as brand ambassador.
  • Attend and facilitate exhibitions as and when required maintain and increase ‘face to face’ customer interaction with efficient territory planning.
  • Gather customer intelligence and feedback to enable a pro-active participation in product enhancement and new product development.
  • Ensure accurate management of CRM records (SFDC) within the territory. 
  • Ensure that product knowledge and customer communication are to the highest standard. 
  • Timely supply of product samples and quotations for customers.
  • Confidence in delivering customer demonstrations of instrumentation and workflow portfolio.

What you’ll bring 

  • University degree (BSc or MSc) in a Life Sciences subject such as: Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry and Medical Science or associated fields.
  • 2+ year’s sales experience in the Life Science Market ideally in consumable sales market.
  • Experience of working with distribution partners as well as direct customer activites
  • Good experience working to a target and able to manage your time effectively to achieve the company’s goals. 
  • You must be a determined, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to convey technical information. 
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting would be beneficial. 
  • Maintain excellent awareness of the laboratory marketplace including monitoring competitor activity and market trends. 
  • Strong experience in territories sales planning. 
  • Proven track record in successfully closing sales opportunities. 
  • Well versed in the application of sales techniques including upselling, cross selling, value positions, sales funnel management and solution selling. 
  • Very good MS Office skill and Sales Force would be an advantage. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a global organization. 
  • Sales-driven and highly motivated. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Energetic, pragmatic, business driven. 
  • Organized and independent. 
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a high ability to learn and to develop. 
  • Full and clean UK driver’s license.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
