Reporting to the Western Sales Team Leader in Edmonton, Alberta, the Account Executive is responsible for proactively managing a large block of business comprised of small to mid-sized Insured and Administrative Services Only (ASO) clients. The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing relationships with existing clients.. The ideal candidate will have a strong service background, excellent communications skills and a proactive approach to client service and to achieving targets.

We will Count on you to:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisor network, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitors to assist advisors in

  • offering the best products and services to their clients.

  • Pro-actively manage the relationship between Victor and our advisors. This will include, but is not limited to: Manage a service plan which is tailored to each advisor to ensure they are well supported, fully understand Victor’s capabilities and value proposition so that we maximize client retention. Proactively manage a renewal book of both Insured and ASO business. Oversees the process of ensuring that all client information is collected, reviewed, updated, and communicated to placement team for optimal program solutions and pricing. Assist advisors with escalated claims issues to a satisfactory resolution. Create, manage and distribute specialized reports on a regular basis. Take the lead with advisor and our internal departments to manage emerging situations and issues.

  • Look for ways to add additional value to our distribution.

  • Meet and exceed annual retention targets.

What you Need to Have:

  • 5+ years of group insurance account management experience

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or related field

  • Proven track record in supporting a large block client in the small to mid-size market.

  • Proven track record of successful problem-solving

  • Strong technical skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships at a high level

  • Superior oral, written, and presentation skills

  • Ability for limited overnight travel

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $111,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
