Your missions

Description

You will play a crucial role in leading and inspiring a high-performing sales team, which includes Regional Contract Managers, Contract Sales Consultants, Bid colleagues, Manager Sales Strategy & Operations, and New Business Developers. Your primary goal will be to grow local customers and achieve financial objectives.

In this position, you will provide coaching, training, performance management, and feedback to enhance colleague performance, drive sales growth, and boost profitability. You will foster a collaborative team selling culture and engage specialty companies to maximize customer account penetration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop medium to long-term sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with existing and targeted customers.
  • Establish strategies for driving profitable new customer growth, aligned with regional sales leadership.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and customer insights to prioritize business opportunities within the region.
  • Support face-to-face and remote sales efforts, assess customer needs, and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Oversee sales bids, proposals, presentations, and customer MSAs, providing guidance and approval.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Organization to implement key corporate and market programs.
  • Maximize the use of proprietary CRM tools for sales planning, prospecting, opportunity tracking, task management, and daily customer engagement.
  • Manage new business pipelines, activities, and close rates to drive planned outcomes.
  • Represent the company at community and business meetings to promote our brand and services.
  • Ensure the training and development of Contract Sales and New Business Development team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant sales experience, including 5+ years leading a B2B sales team and 3+ years in contract sales within food service distribution (preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts (preferred), with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate sales teams, strong financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite, and solid analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Frequently sit and reach with hands and arms, occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • 35% travel required using a personal vehicle.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required based on customer needs.
