Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst who will provide core support to teams supporting a player experience initiative. These range from early-stage business case definition, analysis and documentation to support design/redesign of foundational processes/systems, customization of vendor systems, operational support, and a variety of other analysis or team needs as required.


Responsibilities:

• Provide core support to teams supporting a player experience initiative. These range from early-stage business case definition, analysis and documentation to support design/redesign of foundational processes/systems, customization of vendor systems, operational support, and a variety of other analysis or team needs as required. The analyst will operate within either a waterfall, agile environment, or a hybrid environment, and requires close collaboration with both internal and external vendor stakeholders.

• Partner with the Product owners/Business leads/Project Managers on road mapping, stakeholder engagement, and prioritization.

• Build and execute a solid business analysis (BA) approach to elicit, analyze, and document/refine detailed user needs in requirements or other supporting artifacts as appropriate (working with internal stakeholders, vendors, other teams, etc.).

• Support in detailed system, policy, and user analysis needs, and gaps to ensure proper documentation.

• Support in current/future process definition and mapping of user and player experience.

• Support the development team in understanding needs and dependencies. Facilitate to guide conversations (requirement sessions, process analysis and design meetings, project meetings/agile ceremonies, etc.).

• Conduct technical operational support and troubleshooting as needed to support the product area.

• Provide proactive support to assigned teams.

• Advocate for BA best practices.

• Provide regular status and issues reporting to the Project Manager.

• May be required to learn basic knowledge of other capability areas in the team and/or systems where needed to support the team.

• Conduct other tasks as reasonably required by the Project Manager or assigned team.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of dedicated BA experience.

• Knowledge of IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) areas and techniques.

• Certifications preferred: CBAP, Six Sigma, PMP, ScrumMaster, or Product Owner certification.

• Experience working with business users and subject matter experts to produce comprehensive requirements, gap analysis, current and future state design, and other analyses.

• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

• Company has an existing (at the time of submission) and ongoing contract with Candidate.

Preferred skills:

• Solid skills in eliciting, creating, and managing requirements, gained through applied work experiences (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).

• Process modelling.

• Player experience mapping.

• Workshop planning and facilitation.

• Business case development.

• Expertise in collaborating and managing successful delivery with external IT development partners.

• Intermediate to expert users of Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Exceptional written, and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking/innovation, and development of contingency plans for risks.

Hourly rate: $105/hr
