Job Summary

The Senior Director, Marketing Platforms & TechOps is an experienced technology operations leader responsible for helping lead AmeriLife’s marketing technology (MarTech) initiatives while nurturing and optimizing AmeriLife’s growing MarTech stack to enhance our marketing effectiveness and operational efficiencies.

  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic leadership and support in the development, execution, and compliant operations of marketing technologies that support the company’s overall goals.
     
  • MarTech Stack Management: Build, manage, and optimize our marketing technology stack to ensure it delivers maximum value. Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can improve our marketing efforts. Core technologies include but may not be limited to: lead acquisition (e.g., LeadStar, TrustedForm/ActiveProspect); customer engagement (e.g., Blueshift); content management (e.g., Contentful); digital asset management (e.g., AmeriLife Central Asset Portal); and backend corporate printing/merchandising (e.g., Digital Storefront).
     
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to marketing technology, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Implement best practices in project management and agile methodologies.
     
  • Data Integration and Management: Oversee the integration of various data sources into the marketing technology stack to ensure seamless functionality and data accessibility. Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all data.
     
  • Governance: Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the use of marketing technology that comply with legal and regulatory standards. Ensure all marketing technologies are used ethically and responsibly.
     
  • Training, Troubleshooting, and Platform Roadmaps: Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum for new users, address user-reported errors, and collaborate with leadership to create and refine system roadmaps that align with identified user needs and address product deficiencies.
     
  • IT Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department to coordinate on technical needs, system integrations, and user support. Ensure that marketing's technology needs are met promptly and efficiently.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
     
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
     
  • Proven experience in managing a comprehensive MarTech stack.
     
  • Strong project management skills with certifications in PMP or Agile methodologies preferred.
     
  • Deep understanding of data integration, management, and security principles.
     
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams and working with stakeholders at all levels.
     
  • Experience in developing and implementing governance and compliance protocols.

  • Expertise in CRM software, marketing automation, data analytics, and other marketing technology tools.
     
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
