Job Description

Position Title: Sales Performance Manager

Reports To: Vice President, Premier Sales

Department: Premier Sakes

Work Location: US CA Monterey Headquarters (On-Site)

Position Summary

Main responsibility is coaching and development of Premier Account Executives to include training and coaching for sales improvement, monitoring and managing performance KPIs, and increasing sales results.  Provide performance feedback through side-by-side coaching, performance reviews and goal setting and quality monitoring. Support and communicate sales goals, quality standards, processes, procedures, and policies. Administer motivational programs that include incentives, contests, and team sales performance programs. Appropriately addresses issues such as attendance and sales performance. This position is located in Monterey, CA

Essential Functions

Ongoing training, coaching, development and evaluation of Premier Account Executives to ensure continuous improvement of team sales skills to achieve planned results:

  • By Products/Solutions and overall revenues

  • Using Salesforce.com Sales Pipeline Management tools

  • Understanding of internal LanguageLine Solutions Systems

  • Sales Process Best Practices

  • Implementation Support

  • Accountability to all internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner with the Vice President, Premier Sales and Premier Account Executives to create and maintain a tactical plan to exceed product revenue commitments.

  • Provide and receive timely feedback to Vice President, Premier Sales and Product Managers on performance, sales activity, channel strategy opportunities, and concerns. Coaching, modeling behavior, observing, providing feedback of Account Executives activities/routines.

  • Improve sales team effectiveness and productivity by applying analytics to performance management, and top talent retention. Assist in the selection and on-boarding of all new Premier Account Executives.

  • Gather Account Executive feedback and customer insights on LanguageLine Solutions messaging, offers, services, and collateral to improve awareness of offerings and improve revenues. Communicates sales/marketing policies, decisions and updates to Account Executives.

  • Support the LLS’s Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures, and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,)

  • Excellent analytical skills in working with Excel files, including creating Pivot tables and other data analysis tools to assess team performance and create lead lists.

  • Ability to drive strategic and operational initiatives within team and external partners

  • Effective planning, time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with multiple managers, competing priorities, dual accountability to National Sales Performance results and local market needs

  • Strong communications, including oral and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive relationships with key business stakeholders

  • Proven ability to think creatively in identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role is listed below. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this location. Experience and education refers to LanguageLine Solutions’ current salary range for this position. US CA Monterey Headquarters (On-Site) pay is $62,500.00 USD.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible sales experience in the language service industry or 7-10 years of experience in similar sales industry (small business, B2B environment).

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Sales Team Leadership role.

  • Sales leadership experience with proven ability to consistently drive differentiated sales results.

  • Working knowledge of LanguageLine Solutions data and sales process infrastructure, and monitoring/observation to drive Premier Sales Team revenue results.
