The Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational strategy and execution. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that our telepsychiatric services are delivered efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in US healthcare operations, particularly in the telehealth space, and exceptional leadership skills to drive growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee the company’s daily operations, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and vision.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans that drive company growth and improve patient care.
  • Identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the company’s operational budget and resources to optimize performance and profitability.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including operational managers and support staff.
  • Foster a positive work culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of operational staff.
  • Telehealth Operations:
  • Ensure the delivery of seamless and high-quality telepsychiatric services, including virtual consultations, assessments, and follow-ups.
  • Manage the technology infrastructure and systems to support telehealth operations, including EHR systems, video conferencing platforms, and other digital tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in telehealth and mental health care.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices, including HIPAA and telehealth-specific requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, partners, and patients.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance the company’s profile and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Innovation and Growth:
  • Drive innovation in telepsychiatry services, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and expansion, including new service lines and market opportunities.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a COO or similar executive role in healthcare or telehealth industry.
  • Able to work full time in Chicago Time Zone
  • Strong understanding of US telepsychiatry and telehealth technologies, as well as healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, make informed decisions, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Passion for improving mental health care and enhancing patient outcomes.
