Neuro Spectroom is a new social enterprise dedicated to empowering the autistic community. Our mission is to create a more inclusive world by providing valuable resources, facilitating employment opportunities, and combating loneliness among autistic individuals. **

Role description:**

As the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) at our social enterprise, you will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality online therapy services and support for members of the autistic community. You will provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to our team of therapists and ensure the delivery of high-quality and effective therapeutic interventions to our neurodivergent clients and their family members. Working closely with the executive team, you will drive the development and implementation of our clinical programs, while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Tasks **

Responsibilities:**

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical expertise and leadership to guide the development and implementation of our counseling services on the online therapy section of our platform. Ensure that our interventions are evidence-based, person-centered, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Team Management and Supervision: Oversee and manage our team of therapists, providing guidance, supervision, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence in counseling practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance systems to monitor and enhance the effectiveness and safety of our counseling services. Implement processes for evaluating clinical outcomes, client satisfaction, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Treatment Planning and Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of individualised treatment plans for clients accessing our online therapy services. Ensure that treatment plans are tailored to the unique needs and goals of autistic individuals.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including autism specialists, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care. Foster partnerships to enhance the impact and reach of our counseling services.
  • Compliance and Ethical Practices: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing counseling services. Implement policies and procedures to protect client privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
  • Program Development and Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness and relevance of our counseling programs on the online therapy section of our platform. Drive the development of new initiatives and enhancements to meet the evolving needs of our autistic clients.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, families, and caregivers to understand their needs, address concerns, and gather feedback. Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration to improve our services and outcomes.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Clinical degree (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work) and relevant professional licensure.
  • Extensive experience in providing counselling services, preferably with a focus on working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of clinical professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for autistic individuals.
  • Familiarity with the unique needs and challenges faced by the autistic community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to cultural competence, inclusivity, and person-centered care.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing counselling services.
  • A passion for the mission of supporting autistic individuals and their families.

Please note that this is a volunteer role initially, but we aim to transition it into a paid position once we have established funding.
