Your Role: Poultry Technical Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned Poultry Veterinarian to join our team as a Poultry Technical Advisor. This field-based role is ideal for an expert in poultry health management who excels in delivering innovative solutions and value to U.S. customers. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to address complex poultry production challenges and drive success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Customer Collaboration: Partner with clients to tackle intricate poultry production issues and provide expert technical support.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales managers to advance commercial goals and target accounts.
  • Knowledge Resource: Serve as a pivotal source of poultry health expertise for U.S. sales and technical teams.
  • Industry Representation: Present at scientific and industry events, and actively engage with professional organizations as an Elanco representative.
  • Market Insights: Identify and relay unmet customer needs to marketing teams, aiding in the creation of marketing materials and trial initiatives.
  • Training Development: Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs and materials.
  • Key Account Planning: Lead technical planning for key accounts based on customer requirements.
  • Opportunity Discovery: Identify and propose solutions beyond standard product offerings.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.). Advanced degree focused on poultry (e.g., ACPV, MAM, PhD) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in poultry health management or related industry roles.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across various management levels including veterinary, live-production, and commercial sectors.
  • Track record of exploring innovative solutions to industry challenges.
  • Ability to convey customer feedback to internal teams.
  • Recognized expertise in U.S. poultry industry species, disease states, or products.
  • Scientific or technical publications on relevant topics.
  • Established network within the U.S. poultry production industry.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: This is a field-based role with routine domestic travel (50-70%).
  • Location: US South East/Atlantic Coast

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from 121,700.00 to 180,000.00 depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death ­benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
